Final Project: Critical Media Literacy

My PowToon Final Project:

The links below are aids to supplement the final PowToon. Their length prohibited me from entering them directly into the PowToon, but are well worth the time to view. Each of these concepts bulid upon the ideas and themes presented by Hobbs, but left room for me to use these examples to expound on those themes and ideas.

Debate

  Persuasion

This Video offers the idea of asking questions... Socratic questions...

Wow, Rafe! I feel like you went above and beyond what was required by including additional links AND making up assignments that deal with what we have learned through this course! Bravo, my friend and good luck in implementing these assignments, i think they sound awesome!

Amazing video! I enjoyed how it is from the perspective of the teacher introducing us to a class.

Rafe,
Great job, as always! What a creative approach; I liked that you approached the assignment by demonstrating what you'd learned through execution and examples, rather than providing a review.
As an aside, I love the idea of preparing something like this for students as an introduction from the teacher and the class. It's a great way to kick off a class, especially a media literacy course or one that incorporates a lot of media/technology.

Rafe, I can tell you put a lot of time and thought into your final project. I like how you created the PowToon as a summary for a course you would teach on media lit. I also like the supplemental videos you include. You cover the material we learned in the class well! It was nice to work with you during the course, enjoy your holiday!
