Job Resume Updated
It is always a good idea to have an up-dated copy of your resume or portfolio. This is not just so you can job hunt but because you need to update it to keep it current. If you haven't done anything in the last year or so note worthy enough to place in your resume / portfolio maybe what you really need to do is a self-assessment to find out why. I will admit there are times when our jobs become somewhat routine, but there should always be a note worthy tidbit to add, some of those tidbits may seem a bit trivial but when added all together can show a track record for attention to details. The last job I was hired for I didn't have to present a detailed resume only because my employer was intimately aware of my skill set, this was no excuse for not having an updated resume. As many of you may be aware I am currently changing my profession, thus the need for me to update my resume and very soon I will transform it into a portfolio (electronic). This is a COPY of my current resume. (click copy to view) I welcome your thoughts or comments.

Educational Philosophy
Educational Philosophy? What are your fundamental thoughts on education?
My fundamental thoughts on education are always growing. It has taken me 30 years since graduating high school to get to college and a lot has changed in that time, both education and myself. When I graduated there was ONE, that's right only one computer in my high school a TRS 80 (Tandy/Radio Shack). Now schools have multiple computer labs and almost every household has at least one computer, that's only one example of what has changed. This is why I said my philosophy is always growing, I feel you have to be open to new technology and new ideology in order to remain successful, this is true for educators too. There are however, some fundamental or core beliefs that do not really change, but are modified as you grow intellectually and gain experience. Click here to read more.

2nd Week
The second week is in full swing. Lit I has me reading some "different" literary selections and shows signs of continuing down that path. It is a good path because I for one like stories that cause you to think about more than the story content. Some of the classes I have challenge me more than others but I guess that's what you get when you wait 30 years to come to College.
